The Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC) is mandated to provide policy and technical support to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) for the integrated planning of the Power Sector of Pakistan. The organization is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans for the power sector and for administering, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of power sector entities under approved policies and plans. PPMC is currently seeking applications for the position of Team Lead (Digital Transformation) from eligible candidates who can perform tasks assigned under the thematic areas of the company. The initial appointment will be on probation for the first three months, and thereafter the tenure will be regularized as per company policy.

The ideal candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to exercise sound judgment. Additional requirements include proficiency in communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. The ability to handle confidential information with integrity and maturity is essential for the position. The Plan Implementation Unit (PIU) of PPMC will conduct the selection process through open competition.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the IT team, leveraging business insight and transformation expertise to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Drive the development of a digital transformation team that excels in delivering innovative solutions and supports continuous business improvement.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs, user-centric design, and emerging technologies.
  • Implement and manage a company’s business automation and transformation strategy, enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Lead the planning, development, and maintenance of ERP systems with a focus on optimizing processes to improve productivity.
  • Establish, implement, and manage cybersecurity frameworks to protect IT assets and sensitive data.
  • Develop digital solutions to maximize the company’s revenue streams and enhance service delivery.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the digital transformation roadmap.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage regulatory compliance related to IT systems and infrastructure.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (SKA):

  • Proven experience in managing digital transformation projects.
  • Proficiency in implementing ERP systems and understanding business process optimization.
  • Strong understanding of IT security protocols and data protection regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience in utilizing digital tools to enhance service delivery and operational efficiencies.

Remuneration & Age:

  • A market-based salary package will be offered, commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
