Eligibility Criteria and Experience
- Applicants must be Pakistani citizens or from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
- An MBBS qualification is required, with preference for FCPS.
- Applicants must have completed a one-year house job, preferably six months in medicine and six months in surgery.
- Additional experience will be preferred.
- Individuals discharged or released from government service on disciplinary grounds are ineligible.
- Individuals convicted by a court for an offence involving moral turpitude are ineligible.
Age Limit
Civilian applicants must be between 25 and 35 years old. Retired Army officers may apply up to the age of 45 years. General relaxation in the upper age limit of up to five years may be granted on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants must submit two duly attested copies of the following documents:
- Computerized National Identity Card.
- Domicile.
- Educational certificates and degrees, including Matriculation, F.Sc., MBBS and MPH, where applicable.
- MBBS final professional marks sheet.
- House job certificates.
- Experience certificate.
- Character certificate.
- PMDC registration certificate.
Two passport-size photographs must also be included.
Employment Terms
Selected Medical Officers may be posted anywhere within Pakistan Coast Guards’ area of responsibility in Sindh or Balochistan. Pay and allowances will be provided according to BPS-17, while pension and gratuity will not be admissible.
Either party may terminate the contract with one month’s advance notice or payment of basic pay in lieu of notice. Postgraduate training courses will not be permitted during the contract period.
Selection Process
Eligible applicants will receive call notices for a written test after application scrutiny. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be provided for the written test or interview.
Employment will be governed by Pakistan Coast Guards Employment Rules, which applicants may obtain from headquarters before submitting their applications.
