Four-year BS in Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science, or a master’s degree in Computer Science from an HEC-recognized university or institution
Eligibility and Experience
Applicants need at least three years of experience in database development, IT management, programming and system optimization.
Candidates must have strong expertise in database management systems such as SQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL.
Experience from government, semi-government or autonomous bodies, government- or donor-funded projects, and private firms with the required IT board or Pakistan Software Export Board and SECP registrations is acceptable.
Applicants with foreign degrees must provide an HEC equivalence certificate.
Candidates working in government or semi-government bodies must apply through the proper channel.
Age Limit
The maximum age is 45 years as of 30 November 2026.

Selection Process
ETEA will conduct a screening test. Admission to the test is provisional, and the appointing authority will verify candidates’ eligibility.

Complete and submit the online Database Developer application between 10 and 30 November 2026.
Print the generated deposit slip, pay the test fee through OneLink and keep the original stamped candidate copy.
Submit supporting documents only if you qualify in the screening test and ETEA or the appointing authority requests them.
Use a mobile number that has not been ported to another network. ETEA will send an SMS when the roll number slip is available. Download and print the slip for the test date, time and venue.
